About Us

We are the training band for Westerly Showband but we are also a fantastic band in our own right!   Our function is to help middle-ability players by offering tuition and band experience. Whether you are a person still at the learning stage or someone returning to playing after a long break this is the band for you.  The band’s present members are enthusiastic amateurs from a variety of musical backgrounds and are very friendly and welcoming to new players.

We are always looking for new players – brass, woodwind, rhythm section etc.  To get in touch please see the Contact Us page.  You would be welcome to come and observe a rehearsal!

We rehearse on Friday evenings, 7:30-9:30pm at Filton Town Council, Doug Daniels Pavilion.  See Location for more details.  Some of our members cannot make every rehearsal – that’s fine!
